Assist with Banking activities like setting up new accounts, requesting credit cards, bank reconciling items, banking fees, positive pay exceptions, etc.

Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, and reconcile assigned accounts

Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis
-
Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division
-
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports
-
Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
-
Prepare monthly management reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports

Assist with annual external audits

Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of schedules to management and financial reporting

Become a Navision super user
-
Assist with testing and approve system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations
REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 3-5 years of related accounting experience

Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards

Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis

Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data

Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products

Detail oriented
-
Knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Dynamics preferred

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
