The Materials Coordinator will be a highly organized, self-motivated, effective communicator capable of leading to achieve targeted metric results. A significant responsibility of this position will be to establish systems requirements for purchasing and planning to support Production Operations. The Materials Coordinator will have direct responsibility for Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Inventory Control and Navision Optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to - Plans, organizes, and controls activities related to materials procurement, production planning, inventory control and Navision optimization.

Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct by developing a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.

Develops a weekly production schedule that meets delivery expectations of the customer and efficiently utilizes our internal resources. Collaborates and communicates to both the Production team and DPS team to ensure staffing aligns to meet the production schedule.

Plans materials and resources to ensure production is able to achieve the best possible results.

Ensures accuracy of inventory by maintaining a cycle count system with root cause of all deviation.

Collaborates with Finance, Customer Service and IT to efficiently execute customer Physical Inventory requirements. Coordinates, oversees, and processes utilizing the Navision Physical Inventory Program.

Constantly seeks to improve current processes and methods using solid problem-solving methodology and root cause analysis. Must be an advocate to standardize process throughout the business, which encourage inventory accuracy.
